Videocon's 10" Tablet VT10 With Android 4.1 Surfaces Online For Rs 11,200

Jelly Bean based tablet comes with a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, and 2 mp front and rear cameras.


After introducing two budget android handsets, the A20 and A30, just last week, a new 10" tablet from Videocon's stables has hit e-commerce stores and The VT10 with a 10.1" IPS screen with 3G support (via external dongle), runs Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor (a Cortex A9 chip as per HomeShop18) and 1 GB of RAM. Other specifications according to the sites are as follows:

  • 10.1" IPS display capacitive touchscreen with pixel dimensions of 1280 x 800.
  • Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
  • 1.5 GHz dual-core RK3066 processor with 1 GB of RAM.
  • 2 megapixel front and rear cameras.
  • 8 GB internal storage, support for 32 GB via microSD card.
  • 10.1" (l) x 6.9" (w) x 0.4" (10.3 mm) (d); weighs 650 grams.
  • Audio Formats: MP3, WAV, WMA, AAC, and AMR.

While this is not an official launch, Videocon is expected to release the tablet by mid-January 2013 in brick-and-mortar shops. The tablet, which ships with a one-year warranty, is priced at Rs 11,200.
