Nokia Will Bring Bluetooth File Transfer And New Camera Features To Existing Lumia Handsets

Ringtone maker app and updated Maps suite also in the works.

Last week, along with unveiling the Lumia 920 and Lumia 820, Nokia also showcased some interesting features on its second-generation Windows Phone devices. To ensure that existing customers didn't feel left out, though, the Finnish company has decided to bring a few of these features to the existing Lumia lineup.

The most important addition is going to be the Bluetooth file sharing. (The absence of Bluetooth was a big reason for the Lumia 800 not to be very well-received in India). In the photography department, there will also be Cinemagraph and an improved Smart Group Shot feature. Here's the full list of features confirmed by Nokia:

The new software update will be rolled out for the Lumia 610, Lumia 710, Lumia 800, and Lumia 900 in phases. As of this writing, Nokia hasn't given a date for the release — keep your eyes peeled for future updates!
