Android 4.0 3G Dual-SIM Mercury mTABmagiQ With 5" Screen Launched For Rs 13,000

ICS-based tablet also packs in a 12 mp camera, 1 GHz CPU, Wi-Fi hotspot, and 4 GB internal storage.

Last week, Micromax followed in Samsung's footsteps by launching a 5-inch "phablet". Not one to be left behind, Kobian has also decided to try its luck in this segment with a 5" Android tablet, and even upped the stakes by throwing in dual-SIM 3G support. Dubbed the Mercury mTABmagiQ, the slate's capacitive screen has pixel dimensions of 480x800. It is powered by a 1 GHz CPU with 512 MB of RAM. The tablet's detailed specs are as follows:

  • Dual-SIM, quad-band GSM (850 \ 900 \ 1800 \ 1900 MHz), tri-band 3G (850 \ 2100 \ 1900 MHz), supports voice calls and call recording.
  • 5" TFT (480x800) multi-touch capacitive screen.
  • Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich), browser with Flash 10, supports Google Play store.
  • 4 GB internal storage, 32 GB microSD card slot.
  • 1 GHz ARMv7 CPU, 512 MB of RAM.
  • 3.5 mm audio jack, mini-USB port.
  • Wi-Fi with hotspot support, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Assisted GPS.
  • 12 mp rear camera (don't expect it to beat Nokia's N8 though), 0.3 mp front camera.
  • FM radio, accelerometer.
  • 2200 mAh battery with talk time up to 13 hours and standby up to 15 days.

Kobian claims that this feature-packed tablet is 11.6 mm thick, but the other dimensions haven't been specified. The mTABmagiQ is priced at Rs 13,000 and comes with a year's warranty. Check out the gallery below for more product shots.
