Sharp Launches Air Purifier With Built-in Mosquito Catcher

This is one-of- its-kind air purifier with advanced air filtration process and mosquito-catching mechanism.

 

Sharp has recently announced the launch of its new air purifier which is claimed to be the world’s first such device with an in-built mosquito catcher.

Christened as FP-FM40E, the air purifier comes with Sharp’s exclusive patenter Plasmacluster ion technology and non-toxic mosquito-catching mechanism to eliminate both micro and macroscopic pollutants present in indoor air, according to a recent press release.

The company also claims — “The state-of-the-art air purifier not only reduces asthma exacerbations due to exposure to airborne allergens, but also traps pesky insects like mosquitoes as a preventive measure from mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue, Chikungunya and Malaria.The transmission of diseases like dengue requires mosquitoes as vectors; hence the spread of dengue can be limited by reducing mosquito populations with the help of this device.”

The air purifier is also claimed to cover an area of up to 300 sq. feet, and is priced at Rs 28,000. It is said to be available exclusively on Amazon.in.
