Xiaomi Launches ‘Lake Blue Edition’ Of Redmi Note 4

The new variant of the popular device marks the company’s ‘Wake The Lake’ Project.

Xiaomi has announced a new variant of its recently launched Redmi Note 4 smartphone in India, dubbed as the ‘Lake Blue Edition’, which, as the name itself suggests, comes in ‘Lake Blue’ color.

Though the company has not changed any of its technical specifications in the new variant, there is one important reason behind the rollout of this unique colored variant of its new smartphone.

Xiaomi has recently taken the responsibility to restore ‘Kempabudhi Kere’ lake in Bengaluru, under the project, ‘Wake The Lake’, and hence, the rollout of ‘Lake Blue Edition’ of Redmi Note 4. To add more, the company, under the project, is set to restore a number of aspects of the lake which include solar lights, children play area, outdoor fitness centre, toilet facilities, and more.

The new edition is said to go on sale starting from Sept 4, at 12 Noon, on Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Homes. To recall, the Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS LCD Display with a curved protective glass, while being powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 13 MP rear camera, 5 MP front facing camera, and 4G VoLTE support. It also features a 4,100 mAh battery, and comes in three variants — 2 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM, 3 GB RAM / 32 GB ROM, and 4 GB RAM / 64 GB ROM.
