Asus ZenFone AR To Launch In India Today At 2 PM

It is the world’s first and only smartphone to support Tango and DayDream technologies.

It’s about time for Asus to launch its Tango enabled smartphone, the ZenFone AR in India. The launch event is being held today and the company has already sent out media invites earlier this month itself for the same.

The smartphone will be launched today at 2 PM in India and will be sold as a Flipkart exclusive smartphone.

Speaking about the Asus ZenFone AR, it is claimed to be the world’s first and only smartphone (at the time of writing this article) to support Tango and DayDream. In-fact, to support these features, the company had claimed during the global unveil that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC which powers up the device has been specifically customised for the AR and VR purposes.

It comes with a 23 MP Sony IMX318 sensor on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera. It also features 4 axis optical image stabilisation and 3 axis electronic image stabilisation on the rear camera module.

On the other hand, it features a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED QHD display, 8 GB RAM, and 256 GB of internal storage. It is also backed by a 3,300 mAh battery and supports dual SIM, 4G LTE, and runs on Android Nougat-based ZenUI.
