Android Nougat Update Available For Moto X Play Devices

The phone was launched back in 2015 and came with Android Lollipop out of the box.

When it comes to regular rolling out of updates on Android, Motorola has always kind of maintained its name in the industry. Now, the company under the aegis of Lenovo seems to be more particular of rolling out updates, as the two year old Moto X Style is reported to have received the Android Nougat update over the air.

To recall, the Moto X Style was launched in India back in 2015 for a price of Rs 29,999 and came with Android Lollipop out of the box. Today, after two years, the phone is getting the latest Android operating system out there in the market currently.

However, it is worth noting that, Motorola has not yet made any announcement on the same, instead, users have been reporting of receiving the update. Also, we can pretty much recall here that the same device had received Nougat update in the US back in April this year, and then, Brazil.

While OTA updates do take a little while to actually reach you as they are released batch by batch and if you just cannot wait to receive this, we suggest you to manually check for the update. You can go to the ‘Settings’ menu and select ‘System Update’ option. If the update is available for download, you need to make some space on your phone and just download it, install it, and you should be good to go.

Speaking about the new update, it is worth noting that it brings many enhancements to your phone while fixing up many bugs.
