Redmi Note 5 To Launch This Month End?

The smartphone details have been leaked online, and it is expected that it runs on MIUI 9, based on Android 7.1 Nougat.

 

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone Redmi Note 5’s details have been leaked online, according to a recent post published on The Indian Express, revealing that the smartphone could be launched at the end of July with Android 7.1 Nougat based MIUI 9. It is worth noting that, this version of MIUI is yet to be announced by the company. This comes via a source close to Android Headlines, mentions The Indian Express.

According to the leaked details, the Redmi Note 5 will be featuring a 5.5 inch FHD display screen pretty much like the Redmi Note 4. However, it is said that the visibility of the display has been improved with better sunlight visibility and contrast ratio.

Moving further, the smartphone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU. It also features NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 3.1, and Quick Charge 4.0.

As far as the camera department is concerned, the Redmi Note 5 would be sporting a 16 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front facing camera. It is also expected to sport a 3,790 mAh battery which is significantly lower than that of Note 4. And, under the hood, reports suggest that the device may come in two varieties — 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM, and 4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM.

Having said this, it is worth mentioning that it is hard to confirm these specifications yet, as the company has not announced any official details pertaining the same. We may have to wait for a few more days to know about the upcoming Redmi Note 4.
