Nokia Launches Android Smartphones In India

These Nokia phones run on the stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat.

 

HMD Global finally launches three much awaited Android smartphones in India — the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 for price tags of Rs 14,999, Rs 12,899, and Rs 9,499 respectively. Along with this, the company has also announced that the Nokia phone will now be manufactured within the country.

Speaking about these three smartphones’ available, the company has announced that the registrations for the Nokia 6 sale will be starting from July 14 on Amazon, while Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 are termed to be offline-exclusive products. The Nokia 3 will be going on sale in India starting from June 16 and Nokia 5 will be available for pre-booking starting from July 7.

On the technical side, the Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5 inch FHD 2.5D screen with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and fingerprint scanner, along with Snapdragon 430 processor and 3 GB RAM under the hood. The device also features 32 GB ROM, 3,000 mAh battery, 16 MP rear camera, and 8 MP front facing camera.

On the other hand, the Nokia 5 comes with 5.2 inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB ROM, 13 MP rear camera, and 8 MP front facing shooter. It also sports a 3,000 mAh battery and includes a fingerprint sensor as well.

Moving further, Nokia 3 comes with 5 inch HD display, 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6737 processor, 16 GB ROM, 2,650 mAh battery, and 8 MP cameras — both on front and back.

Finally, all the three Nokia smartphones run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and it is also worth noting that it is not a heavily customised version of Android, but instead, a stock Android.
