YouTube Brings New And Easier Way To Share Videos

You can share the video via the in-app messaging service you can see in the new ‘Shared’ tab.

YouTube has recently launched a preview of a new feature that has been most requested for, by many YouTubers and users across the world.

The new feature allows users to share clips, links, text, and videos to other users directly from the YouTube app itself; much more like sharing via an in-app messaging feature. Until now, users had to copy and paste the link to other messaging apps and share the video.

Now, with this new sharing feature, Google claims that it is going to be a whole lot easier  for users to share their favourite videos with friends and family. But, there is a catch. This feature is still available only in Canada, though the tech giant dreams of expanding it to the entire world soon.

Going deeper on to this, Google has mentioned in the blog post that, this feature was being experimented on YouTube with just a small group of users. Also, the tech giant explains further that Canadians are world leaders when it comes to sharing, and thus the feature has been rolled out over there first.

According to the blog post, “Starting today, when opening the YouTube mobile app, signed-in users with a channel will see a brand new Shared tab. Tap the tab and you’ll be able to add your friends and family as contacts, so you can share with them. Not only can you share and receive videos in the app, you can also chat about them right on YouTube, reply with another video, invite others to the conversation, and more.”
