This App Brings Pixel-Esque Fingerprint Gestures To Affordable Phones

The app is compatible with phones with fingerprint ID and Android Marshmallow.

Google's Pixel phones boast of many unique features you won't find on other handsets. The Fingerprint Quick Actions is one such feature. It doubles up the fingerprint sensor as a touchpad. For instance, swiping down on the fingerprint sensor brings down the notification panel.

The feature was quickly on the most wanted list of Android users. However, Google kept it exclusive to Pixel phone by citing a special hardware requirement. That doesn't seem a valid reason though, as a third-party developer has rolled out Fingerprint Gestures app that enables a similar feature on affordable phones. If you want to give it a shot, you need a smartphone with fingerprint sensor running Android Marshmallow or higher. The software enables gestures such as tap and double tap to check your notifications or scroll down the apps list.

Here's the entire list of gestures supported by Fingerprint Gestures app:
Back
Home
Recent apps
Power button
Menu Open
Notifications panel
Play/pause song
App Torch Toggle
Ringer mode
Toggle split screen

Additional features such as Sleep, Scroll down, and Scroll up require you to root the phone. You can download the app by following this link.
