Oppo Launches R9s and R9s Plus Smartphones

Oppo R9s features a 5.5 inch display while its bigger brother R9s Plus comes with a 6 inch FHD display.

 

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has recently launched two new smartphones dubbed as R9s and R9s plus that come in around CNY 2,799 and CNY 3,499 respectively. Both these smartphones come in two color schemes: Gold and Rose Gold, and customers can pre-order the device while the shipping is said to begin on Oct 28. To refresh, this is pretty much similar to what had been expected in the tech industry.

Speaking about the smartphone specifications, the Oppo R9s Plus features a 6 inch FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while being powered by a 1.9 GHz Snapdragon 653 octa core processor, 6 GB RAM, and 64 GB internal storage.

The smartphone also features a 16 MP Sony IMX398 camera with dual core focus, along with a similar 16 MP sensor in the front for capturing selfies. The smartphone is said to be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and packs a 4,000 mAh battery.

On the other hand, its smaller variant, the Oppo R9s sports a 5.5 inch FHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 625 octa core processor, 4 GB RAM, 3,010 mAh battery, and VOOC fast charging technology.

Having said this, we still are unaware about the camera details of the smaller brother, though the company has announced that the smartphone's camera unit would lack OIS and thus, image stabilization may go on a toss depending on the style of capturing moments.
