Coolpad Note 5 Launches With A Rs 11,000 Price Tag

The metal-clad handset will compete with Xiaomi's Redmi Mote 3.

 

Just like we had anticipated earlier in the day, the Chinese brand Coolpad has released its Note 5 in India. It features a metal body and a a fingerprint sensor that sits on the back. Going by the press images, Coolpad's device looks a lot like Xiaomi's Note 3.

The phone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 617 chipset. You get a whopping 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. The Note 5 offers a 13-megapixel camera for regular photography. For selfies, you get an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone supports 4G VoLTE, which means that it can be used with Reliance Jio SIM. It comes with a secondary hybrid SIM that can double up as microSD card slot. The other specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and 4010mAh battery.



On the software side of things, you get Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Coolpad likes to refer its software customisation as Cool UI. With a Rs 11,000 price tag, the Coolpad Note 5 competes with the Xiaomi Note 3. it comes in grey and gold, and will be available for purchase starting from 18th of October.
