Dell Unveils Two New Mobile Thin Latitude Laptops

Dell has recently announced the launch of a new portfolio of mobile thin laptops in the Latitude range, that is meant for people who are on the move, but also require critical intellectual property (IP) and data to be protected, even against zero-day, advanced persistent threats.

The two new mobile thin laptops - Latitude E7270 and Latitude 3460 come with a durable, enterprise-class chassis, while run on Windows 7 64 bit operating systems. The laptops come with Intel dual core processors with Integrated graphics, 8 GB RAM, and 128 GB SSD, while connectivity options and ports include USB 3.0, HDMI, gigabit Ethernet, WLAN, and Bluetooth.

The Dell Latitude E7270 laptop comes with a 4 cell battery, Intel 6th Gen Core i5 processor, and a 12.5 inch Full HD display screen, while the Latitude 3460 sports a 14 inch HD anti-glare display and is powered by a Intel Celeron 3215U processor.

Speaking about the launch, Peter Han, vice president, Worldwide OEM Marketing, Microsoft Corp. said, “In today’s workplace, companies of all sizes need technology that allows their employees to be mobile and flexible, as well as collaborative and productive, while keeping their data secure. With Windows-based mobile thin clients such as Dell’s new devices, employees can enjoy a familiar computing experience with the flexibility they crave and the security and control that IT requires.”

The Latitude E7270 and the Latitude 3460 mobile thin laptops will be available in India and select countries around the world starting Oct 4, 2016.
