YouTube Community tab allows creators to engage with their fans in a much simpler and better way.

YouTube has introduced a new feature for its platform called YouTube Community. YouTube Community tab allows creators to engage with their fans in a much simpler and better way.

With the help of new feature, creators can text, upload live videos, images, animated GIFs and more directly through the YouTube app on their smartphones. YouTube viewers will be able to see creator’s posts on their smartphones via Subscription feeds.

“This gives channels an easier and lightweight ways to engage with their fans, more often in between uploads, in real time”, said Kiley McEvoy, Senior Product Manager, YouTube in a blogpost

According to McEvoy, this is a better way for creators to engage with their fans. “Community is a special release for us because it represents the deepest product collaboration we’ve ever done with creators like you,” he said. McEvoy put out a list of 12 channels the company has rolled out the beta version for, adding that it is looking to bring more of them on-board.

YouTube is working a whole new bunch of features to make its platform more engaging. The social media company said that its Community feature will remain in testing for the time being, as it listens to feedback and rolls out new features and functionality. A broader rollout is planned for the months ahead.
