Gameplay The gameplay can be broken down into 2 main parts -- exploring and combat. The exploring part includes, solving puzzles, finding clues, and gathering information. The puzzles include scaling high walls, wall jumps, something very similar to Prince of Persia. Then there are push button puzzles wherein you have to look for clues and press the right sequence of these large wall mounted buttons or triggers. Your little treasure hunt will take you deep into the jungles and here you'll be posed many threats. Therefore, your primary objective is to survive.

The combat part of the game is a lot of fun, its has more intensity than Tomb Raider, yet it's not as gritty and gory as GoW. The basic combat style is very much like GoW, you take cover behind a solid object and shoot. There are many guns that the mercenaries will drop, so ammunition isn't a major problem. You'll find AKs, sub-machine guns, pistols, and many more for yourself. You will also find grenades that will come in handy to clear out a crowd.

There is also the melee combat that is quite useful and very interestingly presented. You can rush and attack any enemy. When you melee attack an enemy, the camera moves into the fight and the background is blurred out completely, a nice depth of field effect comes into play. You can light attack the enemy or use heavier blows. What really impressed me was that even though the melee combat is presented like a sequence, it's actually playing real time, in more simple words, the other enemy will still shoot at you, throw grenades and so on. Hence, you can use the melee sequence as ambitiously as you think.

The combat also uses a lot of explosions and I'm not talking only grenades. Strategically placed barrels will explode with just one bullet and cause enough damage to send your enemies flying away. The enemy is smart and will pose quiet a threat. They come in large groups and carry an arsenal of weapons, which means you'll spend a lot of time behind cover. If you take too much damage, your screen will start to fade out, so you have to hide till you gain some health. The best part about Uncharted is that it's inspired from many games, but it delivers on all fronts and is never disappointing.

Good review. Now what about a 'Ratchet and Clank- Tools of destruction' review?
