The game can be quite difficult with the level design posing inevitable challenges.
Challenging gameplay, Good visuals and presentation, Good level design, Old-school platforming gameplay with new-age visuals.
The jump mechanic doesn't work as well as it should, The inability to shoot diagonally.
Arthur is equipped with a basic armor; picking up more armor makes him stronger and gives more resistance to attacks. If all your armor is destroyed, Arthur can be seen running and fighting goblins in his underwear. Finding armor and weapons is easy, as some enemies can be seen carrying pots that contain special items. There are special items hidden in different, hard to reach areas but how to get them is your headache.
Some of the items found are very useful and necessary to complete a particular level. There are times when you find special shields that are useful to defend against enemies. You can use a shield by crouching on the ground. These shields also become weak after taking damage, so you have to keep a check on them. Shields are very effective against the enemy's ranged attack but do keep in mind that some of the shields cannot protect you against everything. Arthur also has magic at his disposal; these are really helpful against bosses and a large group of enemies. All these items and spells can be equipped via the neatly sorted out inventory. The inventory hold shields, magic and special items.
This game is Great!.... Almost 18 months ago when it came out. (if not more) Since it's a long running series, you either love it or hate it.

and how the hell can you say things like "the new age visuals"?... graphics sucks.... take a look at the screenshots.... even nintendo DS with its ancient hardware can produce better graphics than this

what the hell is that....? i m never gonna play this kind of shit on my psp.... it is a disgrace psp... i dont know when in the name of god "RESISTANCE" will be out on psp, on the other hand people are making shit like this and are expecting people to like it....

one look at the gameplay movie shows its silly and has not good presentation. You need to check out Ninetendo DS if you are looking for some arcade games. Sonic rocks on DS!
