We received a webcam from UMAX and we decided to give it a go. The first impressions were great.
Decent video quality, Sturdy, Good finish, Clamp-on stand, Unique night vision feature.
Poor audio quality, Generic software bundle with limited features, Zoom feature is a waste, Recorded video file size can be huge.
It's been a while since a webcam made its way to our test labs. We received one from UMAX and we decided to give it a go. UMAX is not famous for its webcams but I have come across some decent entry level digital cameras from the company. Let us see what the UMAX Astrapix PC520 has in store for us.
The Package
We received the webcam in a moderate sized box along with the basics: a manual and an installation CD.
umax webcam is beautiful cam..and nice pic..

I have been using this product since its launch.... its much much better than the high ends like logitech's Go Cam which is priced much much higher than this. Umax provided value for money.

this seems to be a complete copy of a GEMINI webcam i have... 6 LEDs just like this.. built in Microphone.. and it cost only Rs.650 in Andheri(W)
