The word 'Transcend' means to outdo or exceed, to elevate, to surpass. Unknown to what extent, but the Taiwan based company has certainly 'transcended' its competitors with their variety of portable multi-media and storage devices. Transcend products are famous for their decent quality and pocket-friendly prices. And their T.sonic series of MP3 players are no different. I'm reviewing their highest order player in that series today.

Awesome player buddies, first of all Moblie players cant macth the sound quality given by dedicated mp3 players, and TRanscend t.Sonic 840 is one of the master piece when it comes to Excellent Sound Quality and Beautifull Looks....i bought it today from "Heera Panna" i got 2gb for 2800 ruppee and 4 gb was available for 4 grands, Secondly, if it comes to music - its an excellent player but if you are looking for a video player then this player is not tht good , Opppsss!!!! Idiots dont forget to buy an Creative EP-630 or EP-635 Earphones......if you are a sounds freaky like me ;) Thanks Take Care

Can the playback speed be adjusted on the 840? If so, is the sound quality affected? We would like a device for playing dancing music.

Amazing! I could get perfect clear clarity with a distance of about 2 meters, provided the sound source is clearly audible.

Hi, No you cannot record in Mp3 format, however you can record in .wav format and the clarity is amzaing, you could then tranfer this and convert it to mp3 if you want.
