Eminently affordable -- just don't demand blazing speeds

Compact, lightweight, very affordable

Sub-par write speeds

Here's something from Transcend for those in the market for a decently-priced 4 GB USB drive. The V30 4GB we have today is part of their value series; the model is available in capacities ranging from 1 GB to 8 GB. We chose the 4 GB version because that's the most popular choice these days.

The Bundle consists of the drive and a lanyard.

Specifications

Rated performance: Read 10 MB/s, Write 3 MB/s
Weight: 7 gm
Dimensions: 60 x 16.5 x 8.1 mm

Design

The JetFlash V30 features a cap design, which isn't my personal favorite for the simple reason that you can easily misplace the cap. The body is plastic, which makes it pretty light (7 grams). There's a loop-hole so you can strap in the lanyard and attach the drive to your keychain.

thanks neville_kc for making me aware of corsair voyager. :-) ive a 2gb transcend. im happy with it. bought it 1.5yrs back. techtree's OK. though my biggest gripe is they dont have info on where/how to buy. whats the point of the review without the advertising? the owner must be in it for social service.

4GB Transcend @ 850? you must joking rite?? Who the hell would buy that if the 4GB Corsair Voyager is available for 850?? Techtree is a disgrace? always does a piss-poor job of reviewing? please stop humiliating youselves and shut this site down?

by neville_kc, Mumbai, on Feb 21, 2008 09:43 PM, Report abuse   Reply

If you dont agree with the review there is no need to be abusive. I think tech tree is doing a decent job, but I'd surely like to be enlightened, which other Indian site do you suggest which is according to you doing a better job.

by Anonymous, Delhi, on Feb 22, 2008 05:52 AM, Report abuse

Hi, If you are not ready to go with review bettr shut your damn replies and get the hell out of here............ dont post such bad comments. Techtree is doin the right job.

by Marun, Chennai, on Feb 22, 2008 07:58 AM, Report abuse

Please stick to opinions about the review. Rather than being abusive, it is better to point out the flaws in the review
