We used synthetic benchmarks as well as real-world tests. The Transcend V30 sports a score of 3116 operations; it's slightly slower than a couple of drives we've tested earlier. This sub-par performance is reflected in the real-world test results.

The Analysis
Actual storage space on this drive is 3.80 GB. The V30 brings up decent read speeds -- above average. we can't say the same for the write speeds, and we would have liked to see higher values. The drive did, however, keep up very well with the specified speeds, Read as well as Write.
Our Conclusion
At around Rs 850, the 4GB V30 JetFlash from Transcend pretty much hits the value-for-money mark. It's also covered by a one-year warranty. It doesn't offer outstanding performance, but you can't really call the performance bad, either. Not too many good brands offer a 4 GB Flash drive at this price.

thanks neville_kc for making me aware of corsair voyager. :-) ive a 2gb transcend. im happy with it. bought it 1.5yrs back. techtree's OK. though my biggest gripe is they dont have info on where/how to buy. whats the point of the review without the advertising? the owner must be in it for social service.

If you dont agree with the review there is no need to be abusive. I think tech tree is doing a decent job, but I'd surely like to be enlightened, which other Indian site do you suggest which is according to you doing a better job.
