Never use the Tata Indicom plug to surf with the Sony Laptop. I had a very very very bad experience with Tata Indicom. After several complaints some technician with the least knowledge of computers landed at my place and asked me to format my laptop. And I formatted it only to find that I have lost my original OS in Sony Vaio since I did not take a back up. After lots and lots of struggle and reinstallation some other tata technician came to my place only to give this foolish solution of changing the OS to XP. Airtel works fine on my Laptop with Windows Vista.

@ Chitra: VIsta is known to have problems with USB devices. Before formatting your system, did you try contacting Microsoft support? Don't go by the word of ISP tech support guys, they're worthless.

People do not want to learn from others experiences. I was one of the earlier buyer but rejected this device just in one and half months on the complain of poor connection and inflated hefty postpaid bills for non-existant service. Now I use data card from another service provider and there is no problem at all; neither any connectivity problem nor any excess billing. Stay away from this product.

I tested Both Vodafone and Aitel - they are working constantly at stable speeds upto 60 kbps via bluetooth from my mobile to laptop. Dont go for these type of data or usb cards to trick or burn ur vallet. just try my advise i promise a customer get satisfied with smiles.

don't ever try to purchase this device its a waste of money and neither proper service is been provided.at the time of payment what ever bill they charge as they want they don't provide proper service at all they just tell do this and do that and it will work.neither their engineer know what the problem and the customer care executive know they are just useless having no knowledge so i recommend do not purchase it it will give u just headache and trouble
