Almost a month back Samsung announced three touchscreen phones for the Indian market- Star S5233, Star S5603 and the Samsung Beat DJ. Today we review one of them, the Star S5603. Going by the success of the LG Cookie I must say that the Star Phones do have a lot of scope. The recent price cut of the Cookie to less than 10K suggests that they feel a bit threatened by the aggressive pricing strategy of Samsung for marketing these touchscreen phones. Let's see if the S5603 we have with us today can steal the show from the lower-end touchscreen phones.

No doubt.. u can go for samsung star 3g. Absolutely excellent phone with less price n more features wid 3g, camera wid flash n also 3.5mm headset jack

The screen is heat sensative so it rquires touch. Maybe this is the reason they have avoided the qwerty pad

Yes some times even i noticed unknown no`s entry which i cld not know that how it came in // Also my biggest concern is to know (Here i seek other`s help if someone cld guide me) that how to do:- Zoom in.out while using camera as it volume keys didn't work // how to capture images and text using browser which can be done in Nokia as it gives options // how can i increase auto lock time limit // more good games info as Samsung begs to pay to play preinstalled games// though with this price tag the set is amazing with it applications and features including Pic editing option.

zoom doesn't work for highest screen resolution i.e 2048x1280 try reducing it

I had this phone...With out 3G..i mean the basic version...has lot of problems with Network..keep getting disconnected from network...out of network...all sorts of problems...

dont buy this phone it is a tri band phone with poor picture quality and battery back up only it is touchpone with multimedia features go for nokia e63 it got all the modified features only this is not a touch phone it is a smart buisness phone

I agree with the given review & they don't provide any memory card with phone. I bought it & the phone is awesome.

Useful yet..limited review coz havin nothin abt sound level & quality n web browsing.If possible plz give dis t d earliest.Besides,i fail to find a way as to how to decide if d flaws u mentioned exist ..without buying myself!! coz in my city d dealer wont give a test run.

Star 3g is much better..no probs with call quality.. i found no bugs in this.. the camera is ok.. not so great.. the best model for the best price..

i agree, perhaps too hasty in posting the review, also, no word about the browser nor the 3g capabilities tested, for those interesred in samsung star, look for phone arena
