Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1: Initial Thoughts

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has created a shock wave shock in the mobile market & here's my 1st take on it
Since the day of its announcement, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has created a wave of shock in the mobile market. The key factors responsible for it were the phone's design and OS. So, here's what I think of the ado.
Starters
The XPERIA is a new brand of mobile phones from Sony Ericsson, much like their CyberShot or Walkman branded phones. While those brands define themselves, the XPERIA brand name is derived from the word experience. This new brand will showcase a range of premium phones converging Web communication and multimedia entertainment. The XPERIA range will be Sony Ericsson's trump card to stand out from the many phones proclaiming an entertaining and feature-rich Web package.
XPERIA is Better? How?
What does the XPERIA X1 in reality have to offer? For now only, the specifications of the XPERIA X1 are in place. And this brings us to the first shock wave -- its OS. For the first time in the history of Sony Ericsson handsets, we'll see a handset that sports the Windows Mobile OS. It so surprised me at first that I thought it was a really bad idea to have Windows Mobile as OS.
However, on seeing the official video, I had to reconsider what I'd thought before. I also recollected my experiences with the HTC Touch and Dual Touch which added the icing on the cake. Now, Windows Interface isn't going to change drastically for just a phone; however, I hope by the time Windows Mobile closes on to version 7, we'll have a complete facelift like a Vista from XP with far better optimization. The XPERIA X1 will be the first handset to come with a Windows Mobile version 6.1; however, this is yet to be officially confirmed on the Windows Mobile site. The XPERIA X1 has a powerful Qualcomm MSM7200 528MHz processor with a 128MB of RAM and 256 MB of internal storage. User storage space of 400 MB has also been provided. Surprisingly, it also sports a microSD flash card slot as compared to proprietary M2 flash memory support.

go for p1i yaar.htc is nothing in front of sony .and htc is not having it's resale value in the market .i have already try that phone bro.so simply go for p1i i m a usng this phone and it's is value for money think which feature is not available in that phone

too early to praise. I bought w960i and pi1 on just early rewevs and am sorry to buy both. Too slow and from a tired breed of phones. takes ages to open simple applications like sms and contacts! symbian based touch screens are so sluggish; I never knew. even w70i is so simple and a breeze to use. a new model should be fast and sharp. let the X1 come to market. ask the user and then go pals. dont be in a hurry.

from the early reviews people r tellin its fast and stable. i think u have not even touched p1i i bet. its one of the fastest fone out they for now. it can simultaneously handle more then 10 applications running in the back ground. i have using it since sep 2007. its slow only if u enabled wi-fi and using ur bluetooth side by side otherwise its 10 tens faster than e90. n not to forget it very stable
