A mini app that acts as a substitute for Vista's 'Aero' or Mac OS X
Lately, many people have been using software that, if I may put it subtly, enhances nothing more than the 'Wow' factor of the desktop. There are a lot of options for those who indulge in 'visual' and, at times, feature enhancement. DesktopX, StyleXP, and Konfabulator are some of the most popular applications designed to help you customize your desktop with wallpapers, themes, widgets, etc.
Although everyone likes to add some zing to their desktops, not all of us have the free time or the system configuration that would justify this drive to be unique. So, as a public service (like I always do), I went rummaging around on the Internet and found Shock 4Way 3D - an application that will not only visually enhance your desktop but add a little more functionality to it as well.

havent you guys heard of YODM3D....the last freeware version (1.4) is still floating around the internet.

It has been available in Linux since ages, somebody just ported it for windows ..... but it isnt half as good as linux's compiz fusion

Yes, and even lot better. Beryl is also another example through which u can do many customisation. And then also it will not take resources in linux.
