The Sennheiser HD 280 PRO have been designed to provide you with comfort and easy monitoring. They feature a closed-back, circumaural design. The ear-cups of the headphones turn around almost by 360 degrees, allowing you to monitor audio via a single ear-cup in utmost comfort. Apart from the rotatable ear-cups, the headband of the headphones is also flexible, providing not only easy monitoring but also the ease to carry it around from one place to another.
The headphones are of a standard size and have cushions under the headband so they can comfortably rest on your head. The high pressure headband results in the ear-cups to tightly clasp against your ears, but it doesn't strain them due to the cushioning on them. Also, the ear-cups are large enough, leaving sufficient room between the walls of the ear-cups and your ears. However, if you wear the headphones around the neck (something that a DJ will commonly do; or if someone were to talk to you) for too long, they tend to get strenuous.
The headphones have a single coiled cable which is about a meter long; when uncoiled, it would be around 2-2.5 meters long. More length of the cable is nice to have; although I don't think you'd need all of that in general. However, it could come really handy when you need to stretch out to high-five some people in the crowd who are going crazy with your music!

shit this is simply a scrap, what for i will shed out that whopping big sums of money when i get a great wireless headphones from the great brand SONY by paying almost 40 percent of what this costs.......this is really useless.......shit ...i realy dont understand the nuisence they wanna recover every penny of engineering and design from each and every customer or what ?

He he, if you are sonically deaf and would like to spend your money on Sony crap be my guest. These headphones are meant for serious listeners who appreciate music and don't mind spending money for that purpose. And FYI, Wireless headphones are sonic ally much worse than similarly priced wired headphones.

Hey dude, Look at the frequency response. SONY wont give you 8Hz of low frequency... This headphone is meant for audiophiles!!! Just try this.You wont tell it useless......

this review is shit.. There is absolutely no information, the author has no idea about what sound quality is and has no sense in what tests to be run.. "Good" in what sense? if being in a noisy place is the problem, then there are noise isloation headphones and earphones.. You don;t need DJ headphones for that.. DJ headphones are for a purpose, that you will never understand.

6000 bucks is still almost 1800 bucks above the US price, but these headphones were close to 12k a little more than a year back. They are recommended by many reviewers to be quite good for the money at their price point for most types of music.
