This huge enterprise data juggernaut is a real speedster.
Recently, we got ourselves Seagate's new 1 TB behemoth, the ST31000340AS ES.2. This hard drive is an enterprise-grade server hard drive but is similar to the 7200.11 series drives in many ways. Therefore, we expected a performance similar to the ST3500320AS we tested a few weeks ago. Let's see whether this heavyweight contender can truly outperform its smaller sibling or is just a pretender to the throne.

Heh...1TB is good enough for most people who do serious stuff. I still have a 40GB hdd and also a college student. It works well for me as I use my PC for serious use and work. Yeh most college goers store all such crap like junk music, films and most importantly PORN. They don't love their PC (mishandle) and are generally from affluent families to afford upgrading/buying new hardware often.

"The 1TB of disk space is enough to take care of all your data storage worries. " - lol, have you seen the kind of storage space available with college kids these days
