With an FM tuner, great sound quality combined with in-built speakers, Samsung YP-K5 quite satisfactorily eradicates the need of a boombox.
Great design, Good sound output, Impressive integrated speaker, Image viewer, Good battery life
Expensive, FM tuner did not work
Earlier we had tested a Samsung MP3 player; the YP-Z5Q. The player was quite good, but the pricing was not really the expected type and the biggest 'Con' was the missing FM tuner. That isn't the case in the YP-K5.
It not only has an FM tuner and the great sound quality but even in-built speakers; which quite satisfactorily eradicates the need of a boombox.
I have one and its great. I hear that some say the FM Tuner don't work, well the key is, you have to put speakers or headphone into it for the Tuner to work. Its awesome. I love everything about mine.

I owned one.. It's real "FLAUNT VALUE". Also, the it does its job whn it comes to music too. You just had to slide the speakers out to get everyone's attention.. KILLA

Creative Zen Vision M is 10K much cheaper than this one and more on features. Ofcourse its a HDD based player & no inbuilt speakers.

Please suggest any good mp3 player in range of 8K having normal battery. I had faced horrible time searching for specific rechargable batteries many times. So I would prefer a simple AA or AAA type battery player. Thankx for reply

U can get Transcend 2GB MP3 for Rs. 2500 only. ;) With one year warrranty. Add external-portable speakers for another 1 to 2k. And u save 6-8k!
