Samsung Pebble DVD-F1080

Samsung's DVD player Pebble sports a cute design compared to the contemporary design of DVD players that we've seen over the years.

Style, HDMI, Compact design, Full Functional Remote.

No Display on player, No 5.1 channel, No USB interface, Price.

DVD players are usually of the standard size and shape and that makes sleek and space conscious designs a welcome. Even I somehow am drawn to the contemporary design of players - be it the current DVDs or the old VCR/tape players. The DVD players we have today have been taken a step ahead in terms of design, all thanks to Samsung. The Samsung Pebble, Pebble reminds me of the Motorola PEBL phone and I tell you both the Pebble and the PEBL have something in common. They both look cute, if that's the best way to put it, but not too appealing in my view. However, on the other hand the Pebble does pack quite a good number of features, which makes me want to take a closer look. Is it just the looks or does it carry enough to actually steal the spot once occupied by any ordinary-looking DVD Player?

samsung is now earning bad reputation with tray mechanism of all kinds of their optical drives which usually fail sometime after their warranty period and company is doing nothing to rectify it.i have two such drives and don't trust samsung drives anymore.
