The online package is worth every penny and makes the game worth buying

Great cover system, smart AI makes a good squad, enjoyable squad-based combat, commendable online/multiplayer package

No major upgrades from the previous game, long load times

Gameplay

R6V2 is a great FPS with some of the best tactical situations ever created. The original introduced us to the cover and shoot scenario, which worked wonders for the gameplay; the same system is repeated in R6V2. You can take cover behind any solid object and take down enemies using the cover. Since this is a squad-based shooter, using your team is crucial for your success. You can choose almost every tiny detail about your team -- you can make them aggressive or tell them to equip silencers; they can be asked to smash windows or use grenades in specific spots. The AI is smart and generally follows your orders to perfection.

You can take cover by right-clicking the mouse. This gives you a third-person view of the situation. The cover system is very useful as it makes it easier to tackle multiple enemies; your team will also use the cover system and won't run down the battlefield blindly. There'll be times when you need to barge into a room full of armed terrorists. In these situations, your team comes well equipped with grenades and flash-bombs. Just ask your team to take positions outside the point of entry (a door); you can then use a snake-cam to spot the enemies behind the door and tag them. Tagging enemies makes it easier for your AI squad to choose and eliminate enemies. There are many options to break and enter including explosives and flash grenades. Such scenarios are fun when you distract the enemy from a different location and ask your team to barge in, thereby leaving the enemy clueless. The gameplay is further enhanced by different scenarios that include bomb and hostage rescues that keep the momentum ever increasing. The single player can be completed in about 7-8 hours, which is decent, considering the other game modes that are included.
