 It was only a couple of days back that I gave you my first impressions about the Nokia N97, which is Nokia's new touchscreen, and after spending a little time with it, we are back with a full review of the phone. Today you shall have the answer to whether the N97 is a killer phone and not specifically an iPhone killer. Without wasting too much time let's begin.

The bundle is adequate but even though the N97 has TV-Out function there is no cable provided in spite of its premium pricing. There was no memory card either but then it come with an internal 32 GB memory.

i got an N97 about a month back. i like the phone and i am using as many features as possible. however, i find that every few hours the phone just hangs up and then the only option left is to remove the battery and put it back again. has anyone come up with such an issue. somebody suggested software update and i have done that also. however, the problem still persists. any suggestions? regards siva

As with all high end phones, this phone has its set of software issues and sync issues with the PC. The OVI suite for the PC is a bad software and Nokia really needs to provide some good updates to it.

I have HTC Tytn II which looks stikingly similar to the N97. And has 32GB SDHC card inserted. With 128MB RAM. give me how a Nokia N97 is a very new invention. the idiot form doesnt even accept my email address. as it is i dont need it.. i have 1 from HTC which is much better. At least it has windows.. not some crappy Symbian os with no external support or 3rd party softwares.

 If that was the case, then n95 wouldn’t have been so successful.. it was one of nokia’s hottest selling fone….bck in 2006 Also look at the feature sets.. its an entire package that one tends to look out for in standalone machines like mp3, digital camera etc.. in this u get all in one.. so.. whether it fails or succeeds is a question of how consumers like the fone.. if ppl find the performance to be good then they will pay what is right... btw what Samsung omnia is for 37999 and xperia is for 44500..

After reading the review once again thoroughly for the last time, here are a few things included that could have justified the price and made the phone a complete bundle once and for all. 1. TV out cable. 2. 16GB memory card. 3. 8 MP cam with xenon/dual led optional flash. 4. Proper QWERTY keyboard layout with space bar in the bottom center and the D-Pad definitely on the RIGHT. (give the impression of working on a computer keyboard and mouse) If only some genius could come up with a laptop type touch/scroll mouse pad on the right : P... 5. DivX/XVid format support. NOKIA developers are you Reading??!!!

 @ Michael, hey from the list of things included, it does ship with a 16GB memory card which if added will give you 48 gb space. It’s got a 5 mp camera that’s way above 3.8mp. I chanced upon the n97 few days back at an event and man I tell you my impressions on the keypad were more or less the same as yours.. b4 I tried it out. I wud say that it’s quite easy to operate… hmm spacebar yes.. slightly at a weird position.. bt one cud do with that. I was one of the early buyers of n95 when it got launched and man i payed 35 grands for something which is way below what n97 offers today .. lol.. so I don’t mind paying for it now  btw the price u may get from a dealer wud be much lesser.. he quoted 34 to me .. so might wanna try it out.

hee hee dude if u actually see the list you'll have some poor Sony Ericsson Mobile phone users totally confused. Because there's both Sony phone and Ericsson phone, so I dont blame you... lol..Questions like Now which company owns/makes my phone now.. Ericsson or Sony? since Sony is written first in the name is it Sony phone? or since I see Ericsson in the name is it Ericsson phone.. ; ) happens man This is something like what happened in a MT(Medical Transcription) form I filled they had drop down list including India. When called they said sorry we do not take candidates from a different geographical location and the company is in the US of A... Now how in the f*#k is India not a different geographical location that it is included in the list. So likewise you have the I-phone Dropout in this case... well he did mention that the user interface is not all that regarding the scrolling etc so maybe ur I-phone still remains keepers...

Well now the last question should have either been how much memory comes in built in Nokia or What is the maximum memory including memory slot on the Nokia N97 because now the answer can either be 32 GB or "32 GB +16 GB = 48 GB" which would make more sense... since its talking about the largest storage which means the internal too would need to be taken into consideration : (

i have been a nokia fan since the time i started using mobile.I bought this wonderful hand set after hearing its features. but by hapiness was shortlived. The phone invarialbly hangs when on internet and goes off on its own. i took it to the distributor who also tried his level best to get things wright but was not sucessful. Finally i has to sell this at 25% loss with in 1 monh of buting the set. But being a nokia fan i could not go any other brands and ahd to settle for Nokia xpress music 5880 which till now has not given any probllem. hope it stay on like this

well a touch screen is always welcome as a fancy but think of a situation ur in emergency and u need to send a text ... u think u will like to use a stylus at that moment of urgency.. well there lies the answer why N97 is an iphone killer it has a keyboard.
