Software The Nokia E50 comes bundled with a lot of software applications. The software can be classified as Office and Media. Under Office applications there is Quickoffice, Zip, Adobe PDF, Avaya, Teams, and the basic bundle (Calculator, Converter, Notes, and Msg. Reader.) Under Media Applications it's Music Player, Real Player, Flash Player, and Recorder (Audio.) There are other apps that come installed like Gmail (to access your Gmail account), Internet Radio, and SymTorrent. There is more software under the Tools folder; you have Navigator, File Manager, Apps Manager, Position, Voice Aid, Voice Commands, Speed Dial, Speech, Voice Mail, etc. All these apps save your time consuming task of searching and installing the apps. Connectivity The Nokia E50, unlike the other E-Series phones, doesn t have a WLAN module. The all other connectivity options are available. The list includes GPRS (Class 10), HSCSD, EDGE (Class 10), Bluetooth v2.0, Infrared, and USB (Pop-port). Most business phones would have 3G as well. But considering that the phone is a basic business phone, it s quite acceptable. The USB connection requires the Nokia PC Suite to be installed and only then sync is possible. The USB transfers are fast and you get two transfer modes; PC Suite and Mass Storage.

The PC Suite accesses the phone memory while the Mass Storage option accesses the memory card once you have inserted one. The phone even supports PTT (Push to Talk) so if at all you have the service activated from your service provider, it will work.

I have one.Looks good. but u cant install all s60 software in this phone. that is a limit.The joy stick is stiff than my 6600

The E50 Phone is REAL VALUE FOR MONEY.. Its only drawback is that after sending about 200 or more SMS's, the function of SMS Sending along with the overall working of the phone becomes a bit SLOW... The only solution to this issue is to RESET the phone.. and the cycle has to be repeated once in two months if you are sending more SMS's.

Install the SMS Accelerator update from the Nokia website (from the PC) or the Catalog application from the phone. The slow SMS problem will be solved

Hi, I have heard that E50 hangs frequently while receiving calls and gets into speaker mode. Has this issue been resolved in the current handsets being sold in the market? Is E50 a problem-free handset at all?

if the server dosnt understand ur entry. then u may put it on DTMF mode. so that the service provider's server understand the entries made by u

Spend a wee bit more and at 14k, you can get O2 XPhoneII, windows smartphone..which will beat E50 anyday..and thats what i did last mnth

this phone announces the name of the caller between the ringtone , if stored in the database, if the caller calls. How can i disable this feature.

The display font size cannot be increased. The calling phone numbers are displayed in miniscule font making it difficult to read. Bought a white E50 at a Nokia Priority centre for 13150 on 14 Jan 07 Was the price reduction after that?

A valid observation on phones with big displays which give an impression that the calling nos will be in big font. Any phones where font size can be increased?

the font size has been a problem 4 some of the e series phones. but recently Psiloc released a software called Font Magnifier and that has done wonders to my phone. search it on net and if u like it buy it. install the software and i promise u wont regret.

i bought E50. but i can't get nokia gallery anywhere. i asked priority dealer, there is no response. i searched in net, there also i can't get. i d mailed this complaint to nokia website, there also no response. wat can i do for it?

It is by far one of the best business phones that fits in a suit pocket! However can anyone suggest a way to get rid of the freeze bug when answering calls? I get on average twice a week a call that is diverted to the loadspeaker and freezes the phone.. quite annoying. Updated top new firmware, but problem persists. Help is appreciated

E50 is the best and sleek business phone around. All you **** ***** out there cant u guys understand that at the end of the day you only use the phone for its phony features ,,so it means you need a good battry life and a decent memory. and if u get all this with a good prise what else do u want....

is techtree a subsidiary of nokia.....it is promoting every nokia phone without concerning that they have huge problems....on the global market it is failed to capture market due to its massive hanging and freezing problem despite claimed that it is bug-free....im disappointed by techtree....is this site a sucker of nokia?

i have black E50 Price at nokia priority center at Chandigarh Rs 10200 with bill ,it has super features it browser for complete website we seen in PC with gif , jpeg and java script, flash files with RSS feed support , u can also back and forward page with easily
