What's in a name? Nokia definitely doesn't care, and so has named their new-age features phone after an ancestor.
Good battery, Expandable memory, 1.3 MP camera, Bluetooth 2.0, EDGE.
Uninspiring looks, Poor package, 9 MB internal memory.
It seems Nokia has run out of model numbers for their new handsets. The latest Nokia that we received has the same model number as one of their initial handsets. This is not the only model number to be re-used, there are more of these coming up. All of these new handsets are followed by 'Classic' after the model number, that makes it the Classic series. So today we have a rejuvenated handset which has been placed in the entry mid-range level phones segment, the Nokia 3110 Classic.

i am using Nokia 3110 C <classic>. whenever i receive configuration settings from service provider , In this mobile it shows (only 70 sets allowed). And in "Settings -> Configuration -> Personal configuration settings -> add new" , in this folder whenever i try to add new settings , it shows (cannot add new account. memory full). but my phone memory is to much low. i have been facing this problem since 1 month. Nokia disappointed me after i bought 3110 classic mode. Poor sound volume, camera pictures and videos are even very poor than other brand like sony/samsung. It also keeps restarting now and then. Just the good part is its battery life. even priotiry center don't take any special responsibility except software update. they are just for show-offs. now i prefer to switch to other brand than nokia.

Hi Can any one use Yahoo Go on 3110. I have activated BSNL GPRS & can browse the internet, but when yahoo Go is started it shows error of subscribe to packet data service first. I have tried to delete the preloaded application & download a fresh directly on mobile, but the same error.

Hi, I have brought 3110, 6 months back. Its working fine w/o any problems. Model is too good. Now I want to purchase a Memory Card for this. Iam really confused with the opinions here. Please suggest me, first of all is it better to go with memory card or not ?? Is it atlease ok to go with 512 MB card ?? what happns if we can change the files in the memory card with the Memory Card reader, instead of Data cable/ USB port, I suppose the problems that u r claiming may not occur ??

Nokia 3110 classic Wrost phone I ever used. Please don't buy any nokia phones. Now a days Nokia Phone have hardware & software problems. Please look for other brands. Prefer Sony Ericson or Samsung.

I think if it has bluetooth but to connect to GPRS you need the service rather then the cable, secondly does this mobile still has a hanging and switching on/off problem, I am planning to buy in the next few days , if it still has the problem then which model do U suggest in this range?

For Nokia restart problem while updating library , there's only one definite solution so far.. update to firmware version 6.01. Other solutions mentioned on internet like.. keep phone memory free..dont change themes.. may work for some however for most it never resolves the problem. And for those it worked, they may try putting in a 2 GB memory and copy mp3/aac/wmv files, then open music ibrary and try updating.. the phone may, in all probability, flash ..turn off,,restart,, does this for 2 more times before it turns off completely. Today ( Apr-5th-2008) went to Nokia care center in KPHB, Hyderabad (Devatha Communications). Enquired if they had version 6.01. When they said yes, updated the phone.. and finally tested it.. the problem is gone.. so for 3110c owners .. rush to Nokia care center if you are facing restart issues while updating music library..

usually the phone switches the transfer of any files to memory card automatically whenever the phone memory gets full.

This phone uses 3gp format to display videos. Even if you have got a very high quality 3gp on your phone you have to understand why it is not able to support this quality. The LCD resolution of your mobile phone is just 128x160 pixels and color quality is just 256k colors. So even if your vidoes support a much better resolution and color quality once it is played on your phone it will get restricted to above specifications. You can never achieve anything better than that unless you plan to buy a new handset that supports a better resolution and more colors per pixel. I hope this will answer your question.

Go for a 512MB or 1GB card. I am using a 1GB card in my N-3110C and it runs so smooth. One of my friends is facing slow access and hang problems with a 2GB card. So better be on safer side and use something lower than the maximum recommended. Rest is your choice.

Make sure if you are storing your vidoes on micro SD card then a folder named "Video clips" exists and check that it is not a read-only folder. I hope this solves your problem unless there is a hardware issue in your phone.

When I am connecting to GPRS or while doing switch on of my nokia 3110 it screen goes blank and it automatically switch off and switch on. its to bad but it has a restarting problem with 1 and 2 gig sd card.. i hope nokia will update their firmware to resolve this issue or have our money back because it doesnt make sense not to expand the memory. I cant load mp3 and more pictures and application because of the restarting problem i hope this problem will be resolve.. thanks!

ever since i started using the phone, its been lovely and the buttons are well figured to allow ease of touch. the picture quality is not too clear as i always have this greenish shade or shadow.email is very easy provided the network provider is okay.the phone is really classic.

Hi man, I also had same prob, whnevr memory card connected, it restarts to shutdown. Now, I reduced my phone memory to 430kb. As somewhere it said to keep the phone memory between 350 and 500kb. After doing that i connected my mem card its working fine, man. Try it!!

Turn off the cell info display, the phone restart often. Better go for 3500 Classic, it has 2 MP camera. And only 500+ bucks more. 3110 c - Rs. 5687/- (1.3 MP camera - poor) 3500 c - Rs. 6182/- ( 2 MP camera - Good) in chennai.

i have just bought a nokia 3110 with memory card, but when i set up password for it, it does not work.

Very Nice Model, very cheap, simple and good, but Camera is not good
