Sleek design and looks, 3-inch LCD, Optical stabilization (Vibration Reduction), D-Lighting, Easy to use menus.
Average image quality, Sluggish operation, Digital zoom quality, Battery life, Expensive.
Over the past few years, Nikon has managed to cramp in a lot more features in their cameras while keeping their shape and size pretty much the same, that is, compact -- the S51 is a fitting example of the same. Let's see what it has to offer.
The Camera
The S51 comes in a slim, curvy, and glossy body with grey or black exterior options. It essentially features an 8-megapixel CCD, a 3x optical zoom lens (38-114mm eff), Vibration Reduction, and a 3-inch LCD. The camera measures 92.5 x 59 x 21mm and weighs around 125 grams, making it light and pocket friendly too.
i bought it a week back in evansville indiana, US for $200 with 1 gb card, i bet u it is worth a single penny, a very value for money camera if u get it for that price.

The movie mode of the S51 lets you capture movies at 640x480fps, 320x240fps, and 160x120fps Pls edit and post the usint for resolution is changed with frames/sec

Its actually not even Frames/Sec....its simply the resolution...which in other words can be written as 640x480 Pixels, 320x240 pixels...Digicams usually record at 30fps and at a resolution of 640x480
