The Drive
The Maxtor OneTouch Mini is a "bonsai" version of the OneTouch Plus, which we'd reviewed a few months ago. It retains the exact form of its mightier sibling (or parent), with a few minor changes. This portable drive has a metal and plastic body, with the top surface of lustrous brushed aluminum and the narrow side surface consisting of a black plastic rib. The bottom surface is made of rubber to help the drive stay put while it operates. Overall, the construction is good, though not the most rugged of its types. Although the drive is slim, it can't be called "pocketable" unless you have deep pockets. It weighs just 167 gm, which makes it very portable.
A white LED indicates the activity of the drive. This may not be easily noticeable, but the LED is in fact a cleverly hidden Sync button. Unfortunately, though, there is no label or any other indication for you to know about the presence of this button; you've to read the manual for this.
A mini USB port is present at the side of the drive; other than that, there is no connector anywhere.

The software takes up 72 Megabytes of Random Access Memory and slows down my computer, so I uninstalled it and now the unit is without functionality.

This is ofcourse a very good buy but unfortnatuly the retailer did not give me the CD with, where can I download the Software from pls. help.

Is it not expensive, compared to the western digital passport series products, that sell for much lesser prices? I think it is available for 4k for a 160GB drive.
