It's a decent performer, and the bundle's good -- but is it too pricey?

Too expensive
LaCie produces one of the most varied ranges of external hard drives. We recently tested a designer external drive from the company, and we now have another one -- the LaCie Mobile Disk 120 GB. The drive is priced considerably higher than the LaCie Mobile Hard Drive, design by F.A.Porsche (160 GB), even though its capacity is lower, so we decided to take a look and figure why that is -- and whether it's worth the money.

The drive comes with the USB 2.0 interface. There is also a power cable to power up the drive if it is unable to draw enough power from the USB data cable. It does not come with a CD; the software is provided on the drive, so you need to make a copy before doing anything else.

What a piece of kraap. LaCie seems headed the iomega way. Overpriced and finally out of market. They barely have a foothold in today's market with WD and Seagate ext solutions dominating. Wonder who would buy this.

i have western digital passport 120gb and i must say that its wdsync feature is cool and my data is totally secured and protected. I got it in mumbai for Rs.3150
