Here's an option if you're considering to buy an LCD TV this season.
Good build and looks, Good picture quality, XD Engine works well, SimpLink, Aggressive pricing.
Average sound quality, Under powered speakers, No USB connectivity.
Recently purchased LG XCanvas LCD tv 42" with HT302 Home theater system for Rs 83000/-. Great deal . Although it is nt Full HD tv but with high contrast ratio of 10000:1 , it beats Sony and Samsung in price:performance ratio.

hi....i also bought lg dvd HT302 home theater system....but i have i problem cause when i play and cd or dvd on it, it's video output is black and white....can anyone help me how to put color on it's video output?...

Have an LG lcd that went kaput within 14 months. They say that i have to change the panel itself. And pay 10000 for it. Tis is the quality of products that LG is selling. Stay away and stick with brands that have a name in the market and some reliability. You dont want to be stuck with a white elephant on your hands

the best 32inch in the market is panasonic LX700 for the best picture quality 100Hz with SD card input.

LG- Samsung- Sony etc etc have ganged up to fix prices and rape indians in LCD TV market. Rigged up Prices are artificially high-while in other countries the same manufacturers sell these fror US $ 500.i.e. 20k. The best deal i found was a good 32inch LCD Bravia-KLV-53 U-300 for 34k from Ghaffar Market, now it must be cheaper.

nice article, very informative. I still have a doubt about widescreen LCD - We use cable-signal, is there any way we can zoom, so that the 4:3 signal fills the width of the 16:9 screen and the height is cut from top and bottom. So that we dont see broad faces, thats irritating. 2nd. Do Sky TV and Dish TV provide 16:9 format. 3rd. is it worth to get a LCD panel? i mean with all the broad faces, is it just a thing of fashion for now, in India. why i am asking is coz we are looking for a 32" TV as a 2nd TV, we already are happy with our LG 29 TV (awesome surround sound speakers, which doubled the cost of the TV!).

Yes you have option for 4:3 , 16:9 as well as zoom, the 4:3 image will be streched to 16:9 but u cant find much stretching if you buy 32" and above.If u start seeing in LCD tv,u will never be able to watch convensional crt's.The CRT's will have flicker as its not 100hz,lcds are flicker free and the images are life like, additionally you can also use the 32" lcd as a computer monitor.download hd content and see the difference.Tata sky will give better results with lcd than convensional cable.

Hi, sorry my english. When i plug my usb with some divx or .avi files, the video stops and start to jump no continusly, the files have 25 to 30 fps, and 128 kbps or less, but the problem continue. What can i do? Thanks.
