Korean Media Player (KMPlayer)

Korean Media Player (KMPlayer)

Here's an all-in-one player to resolve clutter on your computer. It has loads of features pooled in. Does that make it the ultimate player? You decide.

Simple and Beautiful Interface, Wide Range of Format Support, Great Capture Feature, Many other features to fiddle with.

Slightly Heavy on Resources.

Music has become an integral part of our PC hard drives. Irrespective of the genre, most of us have music stored on our computers at home (or office, if you're lucky enough). Some of us even like to watch a few good movies on DVD and even some TV shows every now and then. Now what if we told you that there's a player that can play all that and do more?

Of course, there are other players that can do the same, but surely they miss on one feature or another. Sometimes you wish you could fuse a bit of each player you have liked into one ultimate player. Though I may be hinting at the fact that this player does that, let us see what it can really do.

About

The Korean Media Player or the KMPlayer as they call it, is a multitalented media player which can play multiple formats such as VCD, DVD, AVI, MKV, Ogg Theora, OGM, 3GP, MPEG-1/2/4, WMV, RealMedia, QuickTime and more. It even handles a wide range of subtitles and you can also capture audio, video and screenshots.

Therefore, it is a better choice than your Media Player Classic. Although K-Lite Codec Pack is a great player package, KMP gives you the feel of one really good player.

what about other lossless formats playback such as .ape & .flac etc. ? nice player but I would still suggest stick to k-lite codec pack + windows media player 11 Or if you're a professional user and need more features go with K-lite codec pack + media player classic (already bundled with the pack) Only it matters how you install the codec pack. Fewer is better no need to install the whole package if you don't need the other codecs.

Is it better than Winamp.. for audio (I dont use winamp for video anyway)

by WilderNess, Pune, on Jul 02, 2007 02:03 PM, Report abuse   Reply

If you use winamp stick with it for audio. Use DSP Enhancer Plugin if you are not using. By far the best sound you can get is with this deadly combination. Dont forget to enable this plugin incase it doesnt..google 'wiki Enhancer' see download link posted there.
