Kodak EasyShare V1273

Here's a camera with killer looks and a touchscreen navigation system that'll blow your mind away

Looks, Build quality, Touchscreen interface, Smart Mode, HD movie capture, Good image saturation and skin tones, 32MB in-built memory.

No bundled A/V cable, Poor LCD performance in daylight, High noise levels in images shot at ISO 400 and above, Average video performance, Underpowered flash.

Design

The Kodak V1273 sports a cool, black matte finish on a metal body and has rounded edges. Apart from the killer looks, it incorporates a really good-looking touchscreen interface that is intuitive and pretty easy to use. The menus are really simple and add a lot of oomph to the camera.

The screen is a good 3 inches across and has a maximum resolution of 230,000 pixels. Since the v1273 incorporated a touch interface, there is a tiny zoom rocker and just 5 buttons on the camera -- namely, the power button, shutter release, play/review button, options, and information buttons. The build quality of the camera is superb, with just a delicate-looking battery compartment cover that seems like a misfit here.

Bundle

Here's what you get in the box,

-KODAK EASYSHARE V1273 Digital Camera
-KODAK Li-Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery KLIC-7004
-USB charging adapter and cable
-Camera pouch
-Getting Started Guide with KODAK EASYSHARE Software Disc
-Custom camera insert for optional KODAK EASYSHARE Camera and Printer
Docks

It's too bad that Kodak decided not to bundle the A/V cable along with the camera.
