Anti-Spyware / Malware
The suite doesn't distinguish between viruses and spyware / malware types (this is a trend nowadays). To KIS7, a threat is a threat and must be removed. Therefore you won't find a separate setting for this. The suite rates the best when it's at "Keep malware out of the system," but certainly not at "Cleaning all the infection." Yes, this is a chink in its armour. Again, many independent anti-spyware removal tools are better at this.
Anti-Spam

The anti-spam filter here is nothing great -- at best, mediocre. The suite clearly marks where you'll find the anti-spam capabilities, but you'd have to go through several clicks to modify the spam filters, which can quickly get to be a bore if you're sorting your mail. Expect to find some non-spam mail caught with the spam filter. Users of alternate e-mail clients such as Thunderbird would need to configure it additionally; tutorials of which are available through their well-documented support section.
Parental Control

This is unusual for a security suite, and it would be nice to have rather than install a separate security product like Net Nanny (which happens to be much better than this). It is clearly mom-n-pa Kaspersky's first attempt at it. The parental control is as basic as it can get, with profiles and a time / day limit; still, it's better than nothing.
