Finally, a penryn for budget conscious gamers.
45nm, Lower operating voltage, Attractive price.
Not a very good overclocker.
Some of the other new design features are:
Intel Streaming SIMD Extensions 4 (SSE 4) - Forty-seven new instructions, perfect for HD video, photos, and HPC.
Enhanced Intel Virtualization Technology - Virtual machine transition (entry/exit) times are improved by an average of 25 to 75 percent without changes to software.
Fast Division of Numbers - A new fast divider roughly doubles the speed over previous generations for computations used in nearly all applications through a new divide technique called Radix 16.
Unique Super Shuffle Engine - By implementing a wider 128-bit shuffle unit, performance significantly improves for SSE-related instructions such as content creation, imaging, video and HPC.
As you can see, the 45nm shrink is not just cosmetic but Intel has tweaked the wonderful Core 2 Micro Architecture to add more instructions as well as a host of other features. Before we get into reviewing the E7200, here's one quick look at its features compared to the E8xxx processors.

Honestly its a great overclocker. Techtree needs to research a lot. I wonder which chip they compared to that they made this conclusion???? e8400??? or an amd counterpart.

Review is improper n misleading....Its a great overclocker....the guy whoz reviewing is a fool...showing all reviews at 800*600...who uses this resolution these days???

Smarty boy, low res game tests are conducted to test graphic capabilities of the CPU and Mobo's gfx system. If u raise the resolution to the ones u use "these days", the graphic card starts to actively render the stuff thus taking load off the CPU. That beats the purpose of the test. And since u are not a fool, u are expected to know this.

Please don't spread lame remarks like Not a Good Overclocker. These babies are said to overclock upto 4.2GHz without any problems. Even if you did get a stubborn batch, they should be able to Overclock with higher volts. The problem is the juice, which you are not giving it at all. Meh...

Oh yeah....the cons "Not a very good overclocker. " and from the final words "With this you get lower operating voltages, which translates into lower power consumption, lower heat output and make it highly overclockable thanks to it's 9.5 multiplier" is contradicting....
