We expect this to perform similar to the 500GB drive, but the price is sweeter.
With the growing popularity of mobile computing devices, we are getting more and more laptop hard drives for review. Very recently we reviewed the Hitachi 5K500 500GB laptop hard drive and now we have got its smaller sibling - which is by no means small - Hitachi Travelstar 5K320 HTS543232L9A 300 320GB mobile hard drive. We expect a performance similar to the 5K500, so let us see if it fulfils our expectations.
Specifications
The following specifications are for all drives that are categorized under the Travelstar 5K320 series.

This drive is not 12.5 mm thick as you stated. It is just the standard 9mm high, so will be no problem installing in terms of size. Just to let you know. Cheers. (by the way you can tell the height from the fifth-last letter in the name "9" = 9mm, "T" = 12.5mm)
