Laser printers have traditionally been targeted at SMBs largely due to their exorbitant costs. But with the plummeting prices, the picture is slowly but surely changing for good. Manufacturers have started targeting not just SoHos but also home users by bringing out low cost and low maintenance laser printers. Hewlett Packard has one such laser printer - the HP LaserJet P1007, which is what this review is all about. We shall try to find out if this cost cutting is at the expense of performance, or is it a genuine value for money proposition.

IT really a cheap priced printer. I recently bought it for Rs. 5800 in maharashtra along with all the taxes.

I was told that you will get 40% off on first cartridge purchase. Whom do I contact. The dealer from whom i purchased the printer refused to give me this discount. Please help

Rs.6,699 must the mfr recommended price- which has no meaning in real life- can some body state WHAT is the real street price of this? Because a similar Canon LBP 3000 Laser printer with 2 year at site guarantee is available for Rs. 4600 tax paid and would be better because of 2500 Page toner life for Canon.
