This Netbook seems suitable for people who want to do basic tasks like internet browsing, media playback and office productivity.
Good screen, Decent keyboard, Good performance, Windows XP CD and many other applications bundled in the package, Competitive pricing.
Swipe-scrolling not supported, Average battery life, No 6-cell option available.
HCL, which entered the UMPC and Netbook market with the MiLeap series, had its lower end model compete with the first Eee PC and later came the semi-premium class UMPC. However, both these models were soon outdated by other manufacturers who came up with newer Netbooks. These Netbooks predominantly had larger screens and Intel's Atom processor along with evolutionary hardware upgrades.
Thus it was time for HCL to keep up with the current generation. When their latest MiLeap MH04 model arrived at the Test labs, I had this weird sense of deja vu. I was pretty sure I had used a Netbook that was unmistakably similar to this one. And I was right! Read on to find out.
The bundle includes the Netbook, AC charger, instruction manual, Windows XP Home Edition CD, driver and application CD/DVDs and a protective cloth for the screen.
This IS an MSI wind rebadged. I have one. The interrnals etc are all the same (yes.. I've opened mine), and my purchase price was INR 25000. Though they said that price is 26K and 1K off during independence-day season sales. Though I'd not recommend buying HCL's rebrand, because of my personal experience with their service center. But since MSI's original is not available (in my knowledge), this is the only option

Are you sure about the price ? I checked the same in Chroma about a month back and it was 24990/- And I do believe this is MSI Wind itself rebranded as HCL. You've hit the nail on it's head about non availability of 6 Cell battery option. It was the exact reason I didn't like it.

No HCL is not MSI rebranded.. HCL is a different company which was there for past 30 year. But lately only they coming with labtops and netbooks..

So, what do you want more with a Laptop..?? for gaming u can go for PS2 or any other option available in the market.. For movie, You can again go for Home theater system widely available in the market.. Why you people want everything on a laptop..Bloody Hell..
