Design & Comfort
The set looks professional; the finish is really good, and the design, though seemingly odd, makes the phones comfortable when worn. There is soft rubber under the headband (instead of foam) for comfort support. The ear-cups are large, and have soft velvet ear-pads for comfort. The outsides of the ear-cups have a quality gloss finish, and with a metallic grey color, this pair of phones looks good.
In keeping with the comfort factor, this set is of the single-cable design. The connectors are gold-plated. The weight isn't noticeable -- the headband puts apart the ear-cups, which push towards the ears to make somewhat of a vacuum. This not only reduces the pressure on the ears, it also increases sound quality.
There's a power button at the left, and an LED indicating the power status. It's odd -- the button should have been for turning on and off the DRD-True3D mode. And power means a the need for a power source, and the set is uses two AAA batteries, the compartments of which are hidden behind the cushion of the left ear-cup. The cushion comes off with the little effort of a twist-n-turn.
