A good intro video and in-game cinematics get you all charged up and raring to go
In my opinion, a good intro video and in-game cinematics make a really good impression; they may not decide the outcome of a player's experience but definitely set the ball rolling. I distinctly remember what Prince Arthas said to his father before killing him in Warcraft 3: "What are you doing my Son," "Succeeding you, Father." These words became a part of one of the most awesome game cinematics ever. A good intro video gets you all charged up and raring to go, slay some monsters or frag some noobs. What follows is a list of my favorite games with the most awesome cinematics. We also urge you to add your favorite(s) to the list.
Blizzard Games

for everyone who likes Cinematics... Blizzard and EA have the best ones... no wonder since they are the biggest 2 game producers...i'm not talking to fanatics of ATARI or UBISOFT... i'm talking to the normal person who likes all games... if ur a fanatic of another company.. u don't fit in the category... Nevertheless EA had the poorest cinematic in ProStreet... let's face it .. it barely has a video... it's just lame... all other EA and Blizzard cinematics are great.

I just can't believe Final Fantasy isn't mentioned. I hope this is only PC-games, otherwise it is a fault big enough to get violent, hehehe...

Here are some of my favourites: Quake II, Quake III Arena, Doom III, Quake IV, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Star Wars Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast, Freelancer, Descent - Freespace [old game but good cinematics], Warcraft III [of course], The Need for Speed SE original Windows 95 edition [Oh man! This game is filled with real life videos of the fastest cars of those times! And it had 3 different Intro videos!], Need for Spped II SE [Only the intro is good, rest is crap], Need for Speed III Hot Pursuit [Intro rocks! P.S.: This is Hot Pursuit 1 not 2], Need for Speed Porsche Unleashed [Brought back the feel of NFS1], Need for Speed UG1, NFS UG2, NFS MW, NFS Carbon, NFS ProStreet. There are many more, but these are all I can remember for now!

Without doubt, Warcraft III & the Frozen Throne expansions were the best when it comes to Game Cinematics. I still can't believe how good they were, technically, visually & story-wise. And those dialogues, damn!! I only wish they made em in bigger resolutions. And thank them for makin it possibly to view em without openin the game.. :p Coz I still watch it at times in a player.. :D

I agree, every cinematic video done by Blizzard is amazing, they always manage to get my feelings involved with their videos. Whether it makes me angry, happy, sometimes I cry >.< Anyway they have the coolest videos for sure. Illidan in Warcraft 3, and Frozen Throne was so cool.
