Game Casting is back with more game based movies coming up and their proposed cast.
We're back with our catalog of upcoming game based movies and the actors we think can do justice to their demanding roles. Last week we listed five movies that included MGS, PoP and Warcraft. This time around, we look at a few more exciting games whose storyline and characters are proposed to be used in movies. Just like last time, your inputs are encouraged and will probably be rewarded. Read on, participate and enjoy!
And yes, I am kidding about the rewards bit.
Halo
The game is a masterpiece when it comes to storyline and action elements, but how good a movie this will make depends on its makers. I believe it could be made into a brilliant film as it comprises of a great scheme and a lot of gun-blazing action. With a futuristic setting and a plot that takes you places in scenarios ranging from battleships, jungles to snow-clad regions, this movie is going to be an action packed extravaganza. Although no one knows much about our male protagonist 'Master Chief' as his face is never seen, the actor playing his part should ideally be over 40 (that should not be a strict criteria though), should be tall, strong and must look good as an action hero. My personal favorite for this role would be Will Smith. Yes, I'm aware he's not in his fourties yet. If we look at the genre of movies he's done in his career, where the number of action based movies exceeds the others, he could definitely take up responsibility to bring Master Chief's character to life.
Which actor do you picturize here?
Far Cry
This movie is destined for doomsville because the person responsible to bring this movie to the big screen is Mr. Uwe Boll. He already has the credentials for generating disaster out of game based movies namely, Blood Rayne.
Putting that aside, who do you think can play Jack Carver's role? Johnny Messner was a choice on one of the movie forums and I kind of like that idea. He is a decent actor, I've seen him in films like Hostage and Tears of the Sun; he had a brief role in 'The O.C' as well. The first and main reason I would choose him as the protagonist for this movie is because he has a similar look and secondly, no big actor would want to touch a movie to be made by Uwe Boll.

Hey Jason Statham suits more like HITMAN than anyone else. That funky guy from the Gal nxt door will ruin the whole HITMAN series for sure.

I agree with this 101% . He is has the intense, stealth, looks and charm. Maybe he is not that tall but he is good.

Same here, Jason rocks!! U have to just watch his two Transporter movies. He perfectly first into the suit of Mr. 47! The other guy should remain in the "next door"

when i first played the game ( i started with H2, that was the first thought i got) that maybe the character was based on himlooks like almost the majority wants jason (chevy chelios) as hitman

i know its unlikely...but everyone misses HALF LIFE...And just coz jason statham and vin diesel are bald doesnt mean they have their roles picked out guys...come on...

Here are my option about the article: Halo + Mr. Will smith = I don't think so. Even though he was done very some good Action movies, his comic side would not suit for a serious Master Chief! I read somewhere the Mark Walhberg, has been considered. What do you think about wrestler "The Rock"? His tall, Smart, Strong and serious!! Far Cry = Perfect Match! I wish a better man would be selected for making the movie. Hitman= Nah! Thumbs down. CHeck my other reply for comments What was the other Movie, u had in list??

Colin Farrel For Hitman? Com'on I believe the best guy for hitman was Jason Statham. Have You Seen The Transporter, When I first saw its trailer i thought it was a hitman movie. The dressing attire of statham in transporter is a lift from the hitman. Hitman is a silent assasin he doesnt have to talk much. It is his presence that speaks most. His deep voice, unemotional face. I dont know if Olyphant will be able to deliver. Die Hard 4, Gone in sixty seconds, The girl next door, star will need to work on speaking without uttering a word.
