Movie actors gear up to feature as your favorite game avatars! Nibble on this list of game-movies to be & their wishful cast.
A few weeks back I did a feature that listed some upcoming movies based on games. That particular feature initiated an interesting spat over who will play gaming characters on the big screen. Here are some select movies again and my choice of actors that I think will go well with the respective roles. Further, I have picked five huge titles that according to me will make really good movies. Do you have some favorites too? Well, then add to the list!
Metal Gear Solid
Many fans and critics alike prefer to categorize MGS as an interactive movie and not a game. 'MGS-the series' is my favorite gaming franchise and I love all the complex characters in the game. Although not much is known about the movie details, I personally would love it if they make a movie based on the very first Metal Gear Solid. Who do you think should play Snake, Ocelot, Meryl Silverburgh, Liquid and Sniper Wolf?
Before I reveal my dream cast, here's a little conversation from the game that clearly defines why people love MGS and Snake.
Solid Snake: "Metal Gear is in an underground maintenance base to the north."
Meryl Silverburgh: "Take me too. I know this place better than you do."
Solid Snake: "You'll just slow me down. You don't have enough battle experience."
Meryl Silverburgh: "I won't slow you down. I promise..."
Solid Snake: "And what if you do?"
Meryl Silverburgh: "Then you can shoot me."
Solid Snake: "I don't like to waste bullets."
Here are my suggestions for the cast. Like I said, add to the list!
Solid Snake- Hgh Jackman or Christian Bale
Liquid Snake- Paul Bettany
Ocelot- John Malkovich
Meryl- I couldn't place anyone here..
Sniper Wolf- Denise Richards

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Charlie Clausen is not confirmed to play the Prince in Prince of Persia. Some overzealous fan put him up on IMDB.

Nice Article... but i doubt dat wud keep da same storyline as found in da game..... if dey do then it'll be quite predictable...n become boorin.... a few twists n turns.. with a good screenplay will only make da muv a big hit...

Don' t know how far this is true, but I read in some article(probably techtree itself) that Vin Diesel was slated to play the role of Kratos in GOW. Can he make a prefect kratos? What do you say guys?

Nobody can even come closer to kratos but if the movie goes into production I think there's no one other than goldberg in hollywood who can portray the character. But Goldberg will have to give his 'B' grade acting skills a major overhaul..;)
