Great graphics, Good combat system, Brilliant and vibrant character/level design, Intriguing plot, Great use of the SixAxis.
Slight system freeze while changing folks, Story telling could have been more elaborate.

Have you noticed that out of all the major releases remaining this year, most of them are FPS games? Nothing against them, just that there are a lot of them are coming up. We have UT3, Crysis, COD4, FEAR, TimeShift, and so on. Although all of these will be awesome games (finger's crossed), if you're amongst the lucky few PS3 owners, there's a game that I would highly recommend. The game is called Folklore, and although the cover design may remind you of an old Japanese fable, the game is about so much more.

Summary

This is a game about 2 protagonists and their individual quests. The first protagonist is a blonde girl named Ellen, who receives a letter from her mother asking Ellen to come visit her at a village named Doolin in Ireland. The only problem is that her mother has been dead for 17 years. Another person summoned to the same village is called Keats, a journalist from an occult magazine called Unknown Realms.

He receives a call from a woman, claiming to be in danger. Although these 2 aren't related to each other, they end up meeting each other at Doolin at a stone formation. Keats enquires with Ellen if she's the woman who had called up. She ignores the question as she spots an elderly woman sitting across at a distance. Assuming that she's her mother, Ellen calls out to her, only to see her fall off a cliff.

The game starts and engages you in its beautifully crafted world with colorful characters and a mysterious plot. There's a lot that happens in the game -- from trips to an unknown realm that consists of dead people, to defeating powerful monsters, or folks as they are called in the game. The basic plot consists of a murder mystery and the answers lie in the Netherworld -- the world of the dead. According to the game, the Netherworld is where the dead reside in spirit forms and the only gate to that world is Doolin. You play the game as Keats as well as Ellen. Playing through each others story is intriguing as you discover many secrets along the way. Let's see what the gameplay has in store.

Why do you guys put watermarks on your images? Who in their right frame of mind would want such hideous images anyway?
