Interface
The Zen Stone Plus has a very poor menu. It's slow and will confuse you. It seems like Creative hasn't worked on the menus at all; instead it seems more like some novice college project work. The menu doesn't have a back button: to cancel, you've to go all the way to the end of a menu and select the option from there. To make things worse, there's lag while browsing through the menus - and this worsens if music is playing. So, reaching to the end of the menu to select cancel will take you more than just a few seconds.
However, the Zen Stone Plus's screen makes a huge positive impact. And you get more options than just a music player: you've the Music Player, FM Tuner, FM Options, Microphone, Recordings, Stopwatch, and Settings.
The player uses USB 1.1 interface to transfer files. This old interface is so slow that it's a pain when, for instance, you wish to quickly transfer files and make a run for work.
Performance
The Zen Stone Plus has exceptionally better sound than the older Zen Stone. The former comes with the much needed equalizer, which provides you with standard equalizer presets and a custom preset as well. The custom preset allowed me to get the best out of the standard Creative earphones. The player also comes with Bass Booster that gets more punch into your music.

Lousiest looking mp3.Why not buy philipsSA1356/97 it sounds better than Sony, shuffle with more featues at 2400 (July-2008)

well all the mp3 players in India are very costly . companies like creative , samsung make very high quality mp3 players but who will buy these ? If your mp3 player is not an Ipod then it is nothing . so companies like creative , samsung should sell their mp3 players at a bit low cost . and this stone is rs 4k ... huh .

dude..stop being so awe struck with apple..!!! there are several other manufacturers out there other than apple who offer far better sound and video..you forgot to mention companies like iRiver and iAudio..if you ever get a chance try and listn to the audio quality of these players..the ipod fascination is slowly going away..a good place to check out the various players is Croma. They have all the models from all the reputed brands being sold in India..get a live comparison and then you will know the difference!!!

I would have to agree with "iPod Hater" there are equivalent if not better MP3 players available than the iPods. iAudio for one. As for the Zen Stone, it is available on eStores like www.cafegadgets.in @ 2999 with full Creative India warranty

Apple Ipods have only brand name lacks sound quality, display, Radio ,Voice recordind etc. So never go for apple creative, samsung, sandisk provide much better features than apple ipod.

very good sound quality. but the bundled earphone is not capable drining the low freequency components(bass sound) from the device. it lead to buy a new earphone for to hear the low freq components.
